quick social security question

Not really sure where to post this.

In the US, the government sends us a social security estimate each year. It contains sentences like this one:

"If you continue working until you are 99, you will receive $102 per month in benefits."

Does this mean I will receive $102 when I am 99? Or does it mean I will receive $102 in 2010 dollars when I am 99?

It means you will receive $102 in 2010 dollars when you are 99. That number is likely to go up though in later years(unless the economy collapses then it will go down)
