Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Is it possible that most do not even trade, and just talk about it? There is nothing wrong with posting just one trade, as it is the conversation around the one trade that matters most. The whole purpose of this site if for traders to share information about trading, so why don't they share trading related information instead of talking about books and theories, which most know really do nothing to help a trader make money trading. Maybe some people here like wasting their time, but I do not, as I have much better things to be doing with my time. Do you know why all of @Handle123 posts have been deleted from this thread. Can he do that himself or did he have to ask a moderator? It is funny how all of his posts suddenly disappear the minute he is asked to post just details of one trade from an y market. If this is not very strange then nothing is.
I see his posts just fine, so not sure what the problem is on your end.

Its very possible that most don't trade on here, or just trade in SIM, who knows.

If you don't want to waste your time, don't come to ET. It really is a fairly big waste of time in my opinion if what you want to do is learn to trade. Every single time that someone says something doesn't work, someone else is making it work. People say don't buy breakouts, others know which breakout to buy and they do it profitably. Some people only trade with the trend, others fade the trend. There isn't even consensus here on what a trend is or how to identify it.

Honestly, just look at charts until you can't see any more, and if your brain picks up on something that seems to happen over and over again, study it, study how to use it, and how to profit from it.

No? What do you think happened? I will log out and see if I can see them. Thank you.
You're welcome. I can only guess: The only other possibility I can imagine is that the 'ignore' feature can work 'both' ways...and he has put you on ignore.???

I can see the posts when I log out, so the only thing I can think of is that @Handle123 put me on ignore and I can not see his posts. This was his last reply which I will answer here.

" ROFLMAO, you signed up in 2009 and only made 30 posts shows me you don't take trading seriously. I am not going to be baited in showing my signals to the likes of you. You can hit that ball all over the place and you are correct, I don't trade myself very much any more, I have others listen for the "target filled" echo."

To me this is nothing but a cover up. The thread was going along nicely and when the first real request for details of just one trade was asked from @Handle123 he suddenly disappears and puts me on ignore so that I can not see his posts. My guess is that he has also done this in other threads to other people. People who tell the truth never have anything to hide from any person. People who hide things do not tell the truth. The matter is now resolved. He is a waffler and makes up stories to make himself look big. I am not fooled, and would imagine that there are others here that are not fooled also. Let us get on with the thread, and see if there are any real traders out there that want to discuss daytrading the ES on a daily basis. I am hoping @lovethetrade reply will be a better start this time.

LOL. Lets just assume you are completely right about Handle and you cracked the case wide open. Given this comment above, and the rest of the things you said, do you really think anyone else who is actually a profitable trader will contribute anything? They don't need to discuss anything because you are a waste of time for them. And with you being quite rude, the reason why they sometimes help, altruism, won't apply to you.

Maybe I should elaborate a bit. I am not new to trading and know a good deal about charts and trading stocks. An opportunity has arisen where I can daytrade the ES with OPM. I will not accept any monies from other people unless I know exactly what I need to do in order to make money each and every day daytrading the ES. This is why I am looking to discuss daytrading the ES with people who do it on a daily basis. It does not matter what their results are, as I am only interested in what they are doing and how it works out for them. I might even be able to assist them is some areas, as sharing is two way. In summary, I am not a newbie, nor am I am fool. I am willing to speak seriously with any person, but will not put up with wafflers or any rubbish talk that does not relate to the subject matter. I think it is now clear to all.

That's right, share information about trading not reveal their edge. An edge wouldn't be an edge if everyone else knew about it.

It takes many years to develop a true edge and it's standard protocol within the industry to keep it close to your chest.

If you are this far along, what do you need from someone else? What if someone told you they buy every low volume node when using market profile.. does this help you? What if they said they fade any move where the ES goes 20 points because 20 point range days are rare... will you follow them into a trade? Whatever you find on ET will just be little ideas that you have to put together yourself.

This is a debatable point, but not for here. Many think an edge is having knowledge about trading that is not widely known. This is a big misconception. Your true edge is in your personal development in relation to risk versus reward, and how your mental attitude affects this development. A trader with a small amount of trading related knowledge, and a big amount of personal development knowledge as stated, will outperform the trader with the opposite time and time again. In other words, the "holy grail" is really a myth, and most are blind to the realities of life, just in the same way religion has blinded many nations to the realities of life. For another thread, maybe?

I completely agree, but there are places in the chart where the liquidity is sparse. I know I've tried getting filled at certain levels many times and I was way too far back in the que. So when some of these guys are not wanting to share their entries, it could be because they might be giving up their advantage. Its easy to look at a chart and see price shooting up and see thousands of contracts traded and wonder how someone could think they couldn't get 5 or 10 or even 50. But most traders seem to be using only limit orders for entries, and many times I do read they don't get a fill before price takes off and they don't chase. So in many cases, liquidity is a concern and if they give their entries away, they are giving away their livelihood.
