My question is regarding backfill. If I have not pulled up a chart using backfill will I only show price from when I pulled up the chart or will the chart show price from the beginning of the day. I want to use MultiCharts with IB, but many have stated that too many charts with backfill will get a pacing violation. All help is appreciated. Thank you

You can toggle backfill on/off.

When off you pull up a symbol and it will begin plotting from that point forward.

Problematic if you are also plotting indicators that need past data to compile:

Ex. stochastics, ma's, trendlines etc.
