Question on Schedule C and Self Employment Tax

Quote from Traderham:

I am quite aware that traders do not have to pay self employment tax.

can you clarify on the above point as i am currently researching a similar topic?

i understand if one were trading futures they are allowed to pay 60 % as long term capital gains and 40% as short term, which make them tax advantageous over stocks.

but what does this mean if you are a pro trader?

do you stilll get those tax benefits and what are the tax implications as a professional futures trader?
