Question on LCD monitors

Thanks for all the input. Best advice was to go and look at them. Unfortunately I live 2 hours away from a computer store. So, I bought a 19 in Dell 1905FP (digital) on ebay for $355 shipped overnight. I'll buy more if it looks good.

Someone asked the price difference in the 17in monitors: the newer one is $320 shipped from Dell and the older one about $250 shipped from ebay. When I posted the question I didn't realize that a faster response time was better so I'm puzzled as to why the newer model is slower.:)

Newer model might be slower if targeted to average market (not gamers). For trading, don't worry about it. You wouldn't be able to tell the diff in speeds in a trading app.

For best display, your video card should have an adjustment for "gamma". In any event, the 1905's are quite good for market charts.
