Question on LCD monitors

Quote from ElectricSavant:

How much is the 930B? and are the bezels as narrow as the 191T?

The 930 has wider bezels and is not height adjustable. But he 930b has faster response times.

The 191 is abt $150 maybe $200 more expensive. I'm wondering if there is some improvement in the LCD to explain the price increase.

Strange, I thought the 930b came after the 191t...usually improvements come after and the price went down.

The thin bezels are nice when lining the monitors up side by side, I think the clear picture and the thin bezels are why the 191t seems to be the traders choice.

I just bought a 19" acer, 500:1 contrast ratio, with a free Logitech LX500 wireless keyboard and mouse from CompUSA for around $250 (everything) after rebates. $120 rebate is offered on the monitor and there are two rebates on the keyboard. I think this deal is valid for about another week.

How is the clarity...? Does it make any difference in trading, what you buy..Princton ...or other lower priced monitors? Can you see the difference. They all look great to me, I just want to get rid of the heat from these 21" CRT's that I am running.

Man..for 250 bucks just throw em' away when the backlight goes out...(but by then they should have backlight repair kits!)

Suggest going with any great deal or bargain priced LCD with 3 year warranty. I have Dell, Samsung, + a few cheapos.... all look about the same with good video cards.

Some backlights now claim 50,000 hrs.

I highly suggest going to Best Buy or whatever and looking at all
of the LCD's they have for awhile. As you are looking at them,
you will finally notice that some of them are starting to look like crap.

And you will find that there is one that you like the best. It is never
one of the cheapies.

And in the winter time you will miss that heat from those 21" CRT's... :p

I live very modern, we have a firepit for those cold winters! :)

There's a few log cabins in my area where all they have is wood
stoves to heat them. Too much wood carrying for me... :p

I miss my CRT's... Kept me warm in the winter... :(

I had to block off the heat registers, so when wifey turned on the
heat I wouldn't cook, but that was okay. I had my own heating
system... :D

The bezel on the 930b is 3/4" wide. For me the no height adjustment is not an issue as ht is perfect. (adjust with old encyclopedias if needed:D )
