Question for Bloomberg Pro users...

How is Bloomberg Professional service in terms of reporting realtime analyst upgrades/downgrades? Are they pretty fast? How difficult is it to weed through the tons of info coming across Bloomberg in order to discern the upgrades/downgrades from other news and act on them quickly? Does Bloomberg's UI provide filters so that you can get only the news you want to receive?

Also, does anyone know if Bloomberg offers a trial of their service?

Any insight would be appreciated!
 
I've had a Bloomberg for over 10 years and never used it to monitor upgrades and downgrades. In fact after reading this I tried (briefly) to see if there was an automated way to do this. You can set up a news screen that monitors upgrades / downgrades, but it's not very well organized.

I've used a combination of Jagnotes and Briefing to watch for rating changes in the past. Seems to be the easiest and cheapest way to go about this (50 bucks a month vs 1700 a month).
