I'm assuming you're an insanely dangerous to the "Man"/conspiracy theory loving/book of revelation studying/anti-illuminati/x-files believing/9-11 coverup detecting/uberparanoid enemy of big brother and his demonic freemason army*.

Better believe it man!! I even discuss things with people at the coffee shop!!

Actually, I have been targeted and hacked by somebody that knew I was developing stock trading stuff. After that I realized that they really are out to get me!! Just because you are paranoiac does not mean they aren't out to get you BTW. :D

Since there is no privacy law regarding emails, the FBI has installed software at every ISP to scan ALL emails sent by EVERYONE for incriminating statements. Who knows what they are looking for, but they have the snooping software already in place and running.

I believe Earthlink refused to install it but I never heard the outcome. They probably eventually gave in.

There is a free encryption program for your email called Pretty Good Security (or something like that) but I've never installed or used it.

Looking further, that effort by the FBI may have been stopped.

Are you referring to this?
http://www.stopcarnivore.org/what_is_carnivore.htm
"The FBI is placing a black box inside the computer network of an ISP," Dempsey told the Associated Press. "Not even the ISP knows exactly what that gizmo is doing."

http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,37503,00.html

Makes you wonder what else is out there, and how far ahead is the private sector in computer snooping...

Yes, that is what I was talking about. Carnivore! I don't see anything about it after 2000 so I wonder if it was stopped.
