Question about SMB Capital and Dimension Trading Group..

They now ask 10k for their training and when finished, there is no guarantee that they will offer you a position (their disclaimer).
 
Dimension is a decent firm
There are peole to help you out
About their deposit i dont know cause a lot has changed last few years.
 
I checked out dimension I think it was 1500 for like 2 weeks of training, but they charge like 9 dollars a share for 1000 shares. As far as buying power they said it would depend on my performance.
 
I know this sounds crazy, but can you ask to speak with someone who is no longer with their program, as well as a successful trader who left.

my feeling is there is a ton of pressure and micro-managing going on....constant talk in your head to really do what they think. If you dont', well you can't win. if you lose, you are the worst, and if your own ideas are good they are never good enough.

however, if you can talk with someone who left...that would seem invaluable.

i could never give money to someone in this capacity. i've heard in the fine print they (bad firms) keep your capital for a long time after you leave.
