Question about Pro Firms?? (Newbie)

Hey guys..

I just have a question about prop firms like bright and many others...Do they just trade stocks? Or do some or all of them trade Options, Futures, Forex?

We focus on the instruments where we find an "edge" - We have traded Futures and Options on the trading floor, and some of our people are allowed to indulge (under certain conditions).... but the reason for using options (by most) is for the leverage, and since we give capital usage, the leverage is not really needed.

Brokerage firms will let their customers trade most anything... but since our people are members of our Firm, and use a combination of our capital and theirs, we work together to see that they have the best possible chance for success.

Futures lead the equities markets, so why guess when you can have a pretty solid "leading indicator"??
