I actually spend a few hours a day “watching the market” interspersed with looking at charts, but not real focused unless I want to do a trade. I like to lounge around in the morning and just chill with coffee, browsing the net, which is what I’m doing now, with CNBC in the background (should probably turn it off I know, or at least switch to Bloomberg )

Chart's are chock full of information.
For my two cents and for trading by eye, charts have more than enough information to tell me when there's action and it's time to watch for a Signal from a (Setup/Trigger)Pair to determine whether an opportunity is being offered up by miss markey for a buy or sell to enter order to be sent off on its merry way.

What about these charts posted by Slope Trader do you find over your head, What's the first sign that your eyes see in those charts that tells you that something is poppin?
Which particular candle in one of those charts, whichever one that your eye sees opportunity for KGTrader to let miss markey send him some money, in hindsight, which particular candle do you like better than all the rest?

TOS charts show pretty good on my IPad Air. Sometimes I’ll use my 14 inch PC laptop.
When I’m down in Florida I have a double screen setup with my desktop, each screen is 22 inches. But for my purposes I find I don’t really need it.

less volatility, you are eliminated single stock risk (and reward). I think ETFs are good for position trades/trend following. Longer time frames. At least that’s the way I see it,

Without taking the time to go thru all the charts, here’s what I like. Steady uptrend periodic pullbacks. But uptrending. I don’t think it’s actionable, but might become actionable as the MA I assume 200 day?) catches up to price. Or maybe look at support levels as I marked them…

Hey man, I'm same as you guys and have been lucky enough to stumble on a few blood simple signals consisting of (Setup/Trigger)Pairs, Paired Setup/Trigger Sets, notice how I stress this Ordered Pairs notion? A setup without a trigger is like a titty without a nipple, it just looks like a knee, lol. Not that there's anything wrong with a fine set of sticks, mind you.

Post up some of Mark Ritchie's stuff that addresses these quarters.
