The current wave of McCarthyism is to label people politically as socialists and/or liberals.

Same old methodology in play, and the same old fools fall for it.

Rather than address the issues by the issues, create a scapegoat and target, and attack with very broad strokes.

Like in the days of McCarthyism, where people were afraid to stand up and say that they were Communists, for fear of retribution (which by the way is very unAmerican, as there is nothing in our constitution that prohibits someone who embraces Communist political thought) people who are in fact primarily liberal on the issues are fearful to stand up and admit that they are such.

This methodology of attack is a base form of mind control and manipulation used by the weak who detest diversity and seek only homogenity and blandness of the status quo (as long as the status quo is for those with power and money to maintain their grip on power and money).

Sad day in American when people are fearful to speak their own personal beliefs for fear of ridicule and retribution.

As most intelligent people know, the term neocon refers to a specific and narrow ideology that relates to foreign policy and expansion of Western values, specifically in the Mideast and Israel.

If some research is done, people will find that many issues of conservatism as a whole are not discussed much by the neocons.

Neoconservatism is a very narrow aspect of conservative thought having to do with foreign policy, and has little focus on domestic issues.

Gay rights, abortion, school vouchers, etc. are not the topic of leading neocon writers.

William F. Buckley is not a neoconservative, as his ideas have remained relatively consistent over the past 40 years or so, and he is often found to be in disagreement with some of the methodology of the neocons.

The problem is, comparing ourselves to someone else.

By inexpensive, I mean, can a person working for 40 hours a week, making around 12-15 dollars an hour, save enough money in a year to start an gainful enterprise?

I say no.

Back in the day, a person could pick black berries along side the road, and sell them to the cannery. Not any more.

A person could submit a bid to the forestry dept. to clear brush/thin out reforested areas. (No permit, no license, no bond, no nothing.) not any more.

You cant even start up a mom&pop store with out $200,000.00
for permits and other fees.

There is waaaayyy too much big brother to pay off.
