Question about IDEAL PRO with IB

It says on their web site:

IDEALPRO: Forex (25000 or USD equivalent minimum)

Does this mean for each trade, to trade FX, one must trade $US25,000 positions to enter trades?

That is correct, $25k USD or equivalent is the minimum order size on IDEALPRO. Smaller trades are processed on IDEAL at slightly wider spreads.

Huh? That's $2.50 cost to trade and $2.50 a pip. So you lost $2.50 opening a trade?

the spread on ideal is maby 1 or 2 pips bigger then on PRO.
