Querying IB's borrow fee rate directly from Excel.

IB's API customer support directed me to this FTP server instead: https://ibkr.info/it/article/2024

I am using the standard IB-supplied Excel DDE spreadsheet - is there any possibility of querying this server directly for excel to pull relevant data for a set of securities?

You can directly download from the IB FTP site for example, for U.S. stocks

ftp://shortstock@ftp3.interactivebrokers.com/usa.txt

You can then import this file into Excel. Note: that IB uses "|" for the field separator instead of a comma, and you have to ignore the first line.

To my surprise, some symbols lile warrants are available in TWS but missing from the FTP....
