This is such an interesting supplement that I thought it deserves its own thread. Quercetin is a flavonoid and can be found in food, mostly in fruits.
There is evidence that it can treat COVID-19 in 2 different ways. The most obvious is acting as an ionophore for Zinc and helping it to get through the cell membrane where Zing can block the virus from multiplying. But even without Zinc it could work, a new study has just started in Montreal:

"....quercetin, which some research suggests can protect against the Ebola and Zika viruses, may be able to treat the coronavirus. Working with Chinese health officials, they will supervise clinical trials for testing the drug on patients in China. They will use the drug produced by the Swiss company Quercegen Pharmaceuticals, which, according to Chrétien, produces the purest available quercetin. The trials will last around four months.
Present in many fruits, vegetables, seeds, leaves, and grains, quercetin is a compound that originates from flavonoid plants. It is non-toxic for humans and can be purchased over the counter as a dietary supplement. "

Slightly related so I thought I would share it here:
In a study trying to figure out the ionophore effectiveness of EGCG, Quercetin and CQ, they found that Quercetin doubled, EGCG quadruplied and CQ increased 7 times the ability of Zinc crossing the cell membrane.
So it seems that drinking green tea (full of EGCG) maybe more effective than taking Q.
