A kind word of advice. As you know Quadriga is a trend following fund and they are currently riding all these commodities making all time highs. The fund has had a huge run the last 5 months because of this. I would be careful about entering at these levels. Now if your going to put in money every month it's not that big of a deal. But like I said, it's not uncommon for this fund to have 15% drawdowns and I'm sure we are due for one pretty soon. So just be careful if that 5k is all you intend to put in. Like I said if you have more money to add during drawdowns its not a big deal. I'm just looking out for you and I would hate to see you rush in and take a 15% hit right off the bat.
 
Mav.....you can only add 3k a year in a Traditional IRA per person or 3,500 in my wifes case... I have tax due so I am trying get it ruduced with 45% on the dollar! don't they short too?

Yeah they short, but like I said this fund has had a huge run the last 5 months. I love this fund as much as anyone but it can't go straight up every month, there will be pullbacks and we haven't had one in a while so I'm just saying be careful. I think the fund is up close to 50% the last 5 months.

I will diversify my account with something a little more conservative...

This thread is a joke and so are you. I am glad you have read the offering and memorized it for regurgitation. Now I know who to call when Max is busy. You pound the table for 3 days that QUADRIGA FUNDS are the best thing since sliced bread and now you woke up that it is a volatile vehicle and may or may not be appropriate for everybody!
