Quad Video Card Dilemma

Looking for some input from anyone with experience with some of the Quad video cards that are available. Had been looking at the Appian Rushmore for $595.00 and the Matrox G200 MMS Quad for $699.00. was researching the Rmore card but got a little leery when a salesman mentioned about the card being "finicky" with other software so turned towards the G200 and liked what I found out about it an suppose to be an easy install but still hated the $$. But read on a thread here about someone getting one on E-Bay so I checked it out and yeah it seems they are running from $150-250 for used ones and $250-400 for new ones. I was surprised that several were available, anyway I missed a bid today but now have several e-mails from people wanting to sell me G200. So now I'm leery again, what's the deal?? Why so many people dumping G200's, I couldn't find any Appians listed. So any knowledge sharing or experience you might have with your card would be appreciated.
I only have one PCI slot so I need a Quad card as 2 monitors just doesn't cut it and as I'm running XP I would prefer to get a new card that would be compatible with my system.....Anyone hear
anything about Matrox coming out with a new Quad card????

The Matrox G200 MMS is selling for just over $100.00 brand new in the box.

There are sellers with the "buy it now" option and that is only $215.00.
Not bad considering if you call Matrox and try to order it from them they will still charge you the full retail price.
I called Matrox and they explained to me that they are working on a newer model. However, it isn't due out for some time.
Plus, they track each and every G200 MMS they sell, whether it be to individuals, VARS, wholesalers, gov. , or financial institutions.
Pretty serious about their products I'd say.....

Matrox dual monitor cards ROCK! I have 10 G450s running CQG and 4 G200's also running CQG and Reuters bridgestation. I have not had one single problem with these cards at all. THe install easy are also very simple to configure. E-bay seems to be the spot to get them. I got a batch of 5 G450s for $36.00 apiece.

I'm working with an AMD XP2000+ processor / matrox G550 Millenium Dual Head video card / 512 DDR mem / Windows XP home.
I want to add (an) additional monitor(s) (start with 3rd maybe later 4th). I heard a matrox G450 dual head PCI card has problems with the AMD processor.
Is this true ? Has anyone better / other solutions
I also looked at the matrox G200 MMS but will it give me the same problems as the G450 ?

Again tks to all for the input to original post. Have since purchased Matrox G200 MMS Quad, and 2 Dell M991 19" monitors all brand new w/warrantees, thru EBAY, for less than just the card from Matrox direct. Uninstalled NVIDIA card, downloaded driver for XP from MATROX site, and everything installed virtually automatically and have performed flawlessly. Kept my NVIDIA AGP card as primary so I still have capacity for a 5th monitor and both cards had no problems with compatibility. The only snafu I had was not card related but more of my ignorance in that my cursor would not move freely across all monitors until I arranged the monitors in display settings in the same order as they sit on my desk, then all was well. Now if I'm only smart enough to use these tools with proper discipline. Good trading to all.
