Hey rocket scientist, I've got news for you, there is different microcode between different intel processors as well. If AMD and Intel had the same microcode that would make the AMD an exact duplicate of the Intel processor. The only question is are there differences in machine code execution between AMD and Intel.

For the record I only buy Intel myself but I know FUD when I see it and this lylec305 dip is acting like he speaks for the entire corporate world here - plenty of companies use AMD and I not aware of any general software that runs Intel and will not run on AMD.

Time to put up or shut-up champ: you said there will be " some app software incompatibilities" - name them.
