QQQs a pattern day trade?

Do the QQQs count as a pattern day trade (I have less than 25K) .. just wondering if ETFs count as daytrades like stocks do with IB.

My brother trades options on the Qs with small account. it is so cheap through IB and options settle in 1 day so your cash is available quick. He trades ITM options which have really good delta near 100% they trade just like the stock. If you are trying to scalp it is hard because of the minimum .05 spread on the options but they work great for short term intraday trading.

do you really want to piss the spread on those contracts before you even try and make a profit??

you do realize that you are essentially paying up to some schmuck for no good reason...
