QQQQ & SPY spread trade

There are better ETF pairs to trade than Q's against SPY. I trade QQQQ and XLK 1 to 2. What are you trying to accomplish with the spread exactly?

Trade the divergance of these 2 correlated ETFs. They both seem to offer very good liquidity. Just looking for input from others as to when they pull the trigger.
