Qatar World Cup is a complete mess

Hmmm...other players on Argentina's soccer team did not wear a black robe. Yet, I am surprised that they didn't put a "White Robe" on him considering I think it's a tradition that men wear white whereas women wear black.

Years ago in the hospital and recovering from a serious illness here in Québec, Canada...I was walking around the hospital to strengthen my legs and I saw a Muslim woman in a black robe. At that time, I couldn't remember why from my past training in the military...

I stupidly asked her why a "black robe" ? I thought she had visited someone that was about to die.

She said...it symbolizes a rejection of Western culture, political views, and cultural views.

Yet, its ironic that Qatar asked him to wear that black robe considering they told all competing soccer teams that wearing something over their uniform was not allowed.

Reaction to Lionel Messi wearing a bisht while lifting the World Cup trophy shows cultural fault lines of Qatar 2022

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no one gives a shit about Qatar......the WC is over and teams have gone home and all people will remember is one of the best Final games ever watched by over 4 billion people. No one gives a shit about the host nation...

Anybody still talking about Brazil, Russia or South Africa? Of course not.

Now that the WC is over, the attention will leave Qatar and go elsewhere because football fans only care about the game. The U.S. is up next and that is where the focus will be.

Seriously... Qatar is a fly on the tail of the dog of the football world. Except for their airline, no one really cares.

Actually by violating many of its contractual agreements regarding the hosting of the World Cup -- including banning the sale of beer when Budweiser is one of the largest sponsors --- effectively ensures that attempts to host future World Cups in the Middle East are doomed. No matter how much bribe money Saudi Arabia spends they are not going to be the 2030 host. This is the way Qatar's failures will be remembered and impact future events.

Qatar had an opportunity to place the country on the world stage as a tolerant haven which is good for business --- they failed to do that completely.

Nobody however will give a shit about the human rights violations in Qatar now that the World Cup is over.

With the World Cup over, rights groups hope the issues raised stay relevant in Qatar

Since you are talking about clothing
Where did many Nazis go to hide
Is there any similarity between these designs

Fifa.goes where the money is.....no one cares once its over...

At some point --- no matter how big the bribe is --- the country will still be deemed unacceptable as a host. Qatar set the table for the failure of the 2030 Saudi bid.

No one wants it in Saudi...Qatar was to check the box.... FIFA will rotate to North America...then Europe...South America...Asia....in whichever order. Middle.East wont have a real shot until 2042 and I bet Africa gets in again.

Middle.East has no leagues or star players or draw. FIFA gots its.money and now can tell the ME to fuck off for 20 years.
