Russian President Vladimir Putin “is running circles around” the U.S. in his maneuvering on the global stage, a senior House Republican said Sunday following Putin’s military intervention in Ukraine.

“I think Putin is playing chess, and I think we’re playing marbles. It’s not even close,” the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Rogers said Putin’s move to send Russian troops into Crimea following the ouster of Ukraine’s president “is not an isolated incident.”
“They are expanding their border,” he said. Crimea was part of Russia through 1954, and Rogers noted a proposal in the Russian parliament that would allow Crimea to become part of the Russian Federation.

In proceeding with the military intervention, Putin ignored a warning from President Obama to stay out of Ukrain...

I wouldn't consider Russia/Ukraine as the World stage, more like a regional conflict. The USA has way more influence around the World than Russia.

House Republicans are willing to back President Obama in his standoff against Russia in defense of Ukraine, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) said Sunday.

“You’re going to find a House that’s very cooperative with the administration on this,” Kinzinger said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin received permission from the country's parliament this week to invade Crimea, a region of Ukraine. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday that the administration is considering "a broad array" of serious repercussions for Russia, including economic sanctions, visa bans and a boycott of the G-8 leadership summit in Russia this summer.

Republicans have been extremely critical of Obama's dealings with Russia, accusing him of being "naive" about Putin's intentions and issuing empty warnings. But Kinzinger, who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the House GOP will work with Obama to send aid to Ukraine and consider legislation to admit the country into NATO.

“I think it’s important, and I think you’ll see this, to stand very strong with the president and say, ‘We may not be able to respond militarily but we are going to make it clear that Russia is a pariah state, and not just for the next year but for the next decade," he said.

I don't know what to do at this stage. We have lost control of the world. It looks to me that we are reaping the rewards we earned by electing a person with Obama's skill set and philosophy. Every option now seems worse and more dangerous than it should be.
Luckily we have Joe Biden in there advising, who who we recently learned is wrong on everything.

The world's never a nice place ... but it helps if we have a competent President which can mitigate the fallout. Maybe we can distract what the true issues are and Odumbo can push for some version of Odumbocare in Ukraine. Any of you guys ever really think as to WHO is supposedly leading our country ... a former "community organizer". Scary IMO .....
