Putin Announces ‘Partial Mobilization,’ Stepping Up Ukraine War

What they do not think about is the next guy could be worst than Putin. I think Putin was still holding back in the war in Ukraine. There is obviously, a lack of planning on Russia's part. I am surprised Russia has not hit huge numbers of Ukrainian troops on the ground when they are preparing for a counter attack. Hard to figure out. How do you miss tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of troops massed in an area? That is not counting the numerous tanks, howitzers, HIMARs etc. in full view. You have spy satellites, you have drones to see it all. If the goal is to win the war, why not hit those Ukrainian troops with missiles, howitzers, massive sorties by fighter jets to wipe them out? There is no place to hide.
I don't understand that either.
Lots of things don't make sense.
Early in the war Putin allegedly wanted Zelensky dead. One would have to think Russia has enough intel to figure out where he's at occasionally. It's not like he's Bin Laden and living in a cave, so why haven't they done a surgical strike on him? Now regarding that, I'm not positive, but I think that goes against some international treaty from way back that Russia is probably a signator on, but when has that ever stopped them?
I dunno, but part of me thinks there's more to this than we're being told. What that could be and why, I have no idea.

There's a lot more to many things than we're being told. Speaking of Bin Laden, I didn't want to believe this kind of stuff for a long time, but after digging into it pretty deeply, there are still a lot more questions than answers.

Raise the octane levels of gasoline. Even then, we had premium gas that was 95 octane which burns more cleanly and less pollutants. Here, I think we only have 92 octane gas. The lower the octane, the more pollutants in that gasoline.
I don't know about 95 octane, but 92 octane probably won't pollute less without more cars designed to us it:

Higher-octane juice won’t reduce pollution or emissions at all, according to a study recently done by the American Automobile Association. Fewer than 20 percent of the cars on the road today have engines designed specifically to burn premium gas, which is what they should be running. For other vehicles, the AAA found that “premium gasoline did not produce more horsepower, result in better fuel economy, or produce fewer tailpipe emissions.”

That supports my view of a strong US Dollar next 12 months and downside for S&P500 (or going sideways at least). Because this looks like a neverending story, this war could last for many more years.
I agree, it seems like his conscripts are only dragging out this war and they may never win it, which could stabilize the $

Can't disagree more. The Ukraine crisis so far has been nothing more than a sideshow for markets. Sure, it will cause a 3-5% move up of the market but I doubt there will be much follow through.

Aged like milk this one. This will likely involve many millions of soldiers now, Putin has nothing to lose because he doesn't care at all if Russia is a pile of rubble after he's gone. Classic psychopath. There's no strategy left, it's just Vladimir, his ego and his extremist buddies. Russian people are (a)pathetic as usual throughout history, doing nothing about it.

Putin can call up all the troops he wants, but Russia can’t train or support them

It's likely the longest range HIMARS are now heading to Ukraine because Ukraine needs to be able to strike Russian troops while they're en-route. The only viable strategy seems to be to decimate Belgorod and nearby military installations. If there's anti-air in place, artillery can just sit and wait.
I say this as a specialist with hours of Youtube and Civ6 experience.

I do not know the science behind it but, they had bottles containing the samples of a 95 octane compared to lower 92 octane, 85 octane in our office lobby and you can see how much sludge the lower octane has in the gasoline. That goes into your engine then, when burned results in more dirty emissions. I agree that not all cars can handle the 95 octane. But, shouldn't they be focusing on improving cars to handle 95 octane? Seems a cheaper way than these electric vehicles. I am guessing the batteries of the electric vehicles will at some point fill our landfills and pollute the water we drink on top of it.

Btw2, German companies in masses fleeing Germany b/c of the energy shortages.
Guess where they are going to: of course to China, and not to the US... :D
Here's the proof of the above said, unfortunately in German only:
