Yes, but we are all Americans.

But they are Russian vs. Ukrainian.
Different languages, different culture.
They share some of the same history, but in the wrong way.
The USSR (Stalin / Russia ) starved 10MN-12MN Ukraines to death from 1932-1933 during the Holomodor. Stalin seized all the crops, farm animals and even seized the food from their kitchens. He did it to support his political base in the larger cities and to undermine the Ukraines that were rebellious and were not big fans of Stalin or communism. Many people in Ukraine resorted to cannibalism. And they are still pissed at the Russians for this.
