you might be referring to the put call ratio, which is simply the number of puts traded daily divided by calls. it has no relationship to moneyness of the option. in just says how many puts traded vs. calls, but gives no indication of whether it was buying or selling. go here for some basic definitions and charts whatstrading dot com/lingo/
