Since the audio calls are not in the track record (only newbie safe official calls). A decent amount of the users actually do better then the posted results. I took a short for 12pts today off a trend line break alex pointed out that will NOT be on our results page beause the 'alert buzzer' was not called due to the stop being too wide. Link for record is

I thought that the newbie-safe calls all dictate taking partial profits at 5 pts? I don't see this reflected in your track record...

I did a quick analysis of their market calls for 3/1/07 based on their daily trade log which is recorded and published for free public viewing:

Puretick Log 3/1/07

I had to adjust the timezone 1 hour (I am on ET time). With that in mind, here are the results from that day:

6 scalps
5 made money (+5 ticks, take partial profit, move stop to breakeven)
1 lost money (-15 ticks)*

1 max-span
1 lost money (-15 ticks)* [update - actually Alex called for this trade to be canceled at -6 ticks ... hard to analyze records and watch my charts at the same time]

Because it is the YM, there is some subjectivity on fills for entry/exit/stop loss. But it appears to be a viable scalping method, based on my analysis of the price action of the YM on 3/1/07.

I personally would have taken a couple of Longs (from the Open and at Midday) and rode the uptrend.

Both methods would have made money on that day.

NOTE: If anyone finds any of this information to be incorrect or partial, please fell free to correct, I'm just going on the info / knowledge I have at this time.

* Protective Stops are based on the information that bosco81 posted about their protective stops.

Good trading,

Jimmy Jam

Looking at that chart together with the RSI there was 1 massive opportunity to make lots of points off 1 trade right in the beginning of the morning session. Method's been covered on ET by B1S2 in great detail, all for FREE. People that use people like Puretick are into spoon feeding. There are quite a few FREE systems discussed on ET that ARE profitable if the correct r:r is being used. All you need is discipline...oh, that's also FREE.

This post is not geared against vendors like Puretick, I have nothing against them. Business is business

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see it...in other words, I'd expect to see the difference between the Buy Price and Sell Price to be 5 points for every trade you put on (assuming you weren't stopped out)...even if it's just a 50% scale out. There would also be another line for the Buy and Sell prices for the remaining 50% of your position...I'm not seeing that.

How much is your time worth? 1 dollar an hour? Two? Fifty?
All the time you spend asking about Puretick and you could spend 10 bucks for 10 ten days and figure all of this out for yourself.

I'm not trying to be a wiseass, it just seems to me that you're wasting your own time.

Good trading to you.

I don't have my futures account activated yet. I am experienced in trading equities and options, but haven't tried futures. So I first thought I'd try it out about 10 days ago, and I should have my account up and running next week. Until I am ready to trade I can't sign up for the $10 trial...I figure, in the meantime, I might as well ask some questions...
