Got a few comments on the posted statement. People want to see more. I've talked to the trader and they've agreed to post more. Should have one tonight. Weather it be good or bad. Today we've only done 3 trades so shouldn't be too long unless she went off on her own on a few. Which I dont mind. Shows they are learning.

admittedly it was the "best" i had ever done while trading - i lost at my lowest rate ever lol.

Bosco well thats actually good to hear. I think you may be reaching a turning point. Keep me up to date on your progress.

Also Bosco.. Newbies often email me and ask how they can pare out with 1 contract. I tell the same thing to them all. Trade at least 2. If you can not afford margin on two then you shouldn't be in our room. Alex has everyone who joins use a simulator for the first few weeks of trading. You can always do two on that for free until you get the hang of it. Money management is key. Its very hard to scale out with 1 contract.

Like anything else. A newbie is trying to find something very easy and mistake proof. Other then auto trading systems, that does not exist with scalping. We try to pound reality in to their head. It will result in some users giving up and quitting but atleast they wont blow up their account in our room.

Since the audio calls are not in the track record (only newbie safe official calls). A decent amount of the users actually do better then the posted results. I took a short for 12pts today off a trend line break alex pointed out that will NOT be on our results page beause the 'alert buzzer' was not called due to the stop being too wide. Link for record is

You have to know our rules and scale out points before you can post the results. If you want, you can take that free account offer and write a consumer reports type of review. That'd be great.

In this case we'll use 6 cars to demonstrate as same as the log:

3/1/07 Long 12,199 to 12,209 +10 3 Cars $135
3/1/07 Stop 12,193 Stop on 3 Cars -$105

Total $30

Max span setup *always* takes profits at 10pts to protect gains then a trail stop is used. This case entry -6 which was hit.

P.S. ... and actually I did that as an example of what a potential trader needs to do for two weeks to a month to see if the feeling, style and temperment of your room suits their trading needs and personality.

It's just an example folks, for your trading, you have to learn to do your own due diligence.

Bosco, your observations are good. A 1:3 risk ratio is a sure road to ruin. Do the math to learn what kind of winning percentage you'd need to just to break even.

What's worse, novices are taught to grab a few quick ticks rather than trust the setups and the market. This installs fear and anxiety that any quick profit will evaporate, so you better grab it now. Absolutely one of the worst things to teach a novice--the antithesis of conviction and trust in your methods.

Seems like this vendor believes that you can never go broke taking a profit. That's true if the profits exceed the losses which in this case is unlikely.

p.s. Spectra, perhaps you can tell us why some posts which paint PT in a negative light (without being defamatory or uncivil) are deleted from this thread?

I have also found this to be true.

In an ideal world, all viewpoints would be presented and invidual traders would be able to make their judgements one way or the either.

OK, so this wourld obivously is not ideal.

I'm not an ET admin and have no 'clout' but I've seen good posts get deleted too. Our one on the futures trading reasons did. It had great comments and reviews. Someone posted some random comment about throwing feces on the wall and then the next day it was gone. I understand what Nkhoi is saying.

I'd rather see the admins remove the offending post but it seems in an effort to save time they just kill the whole thread. Maybe something to write ET about. This is a busy board and im sure they have a lot to do and are working for free. We can start a new thread and address any topics as long as flamers stay out of it and keep it 'clean'.
