Seriously speaking, this isn't the first time the right has used crap.
Try reproducing Friedman's NAIRU. Can't be done. I tried, and in actuality you wind up finding that low levels of unemployment correlate positively - if ever so slightly - with low levels of inflation. But the correct answer is there is no correlation at all between inflation and unemployment. Not that the right, or the Fed, cares. You have to wonder, between this crap austerity argument and NAIRU, just how many people have been unemployed from the theories of not just dead, but completely wrong economists.
