Psychology or Psychobabble

I don't hate you or anyone for that matter. In fact there is nothing I would love more than for us all to put on some nice fuzzy slippers, make some warm cocoa, hold hands and sing songs. The only thing I could think of that would be more fun is to tell each other how special each and everyone of us is. :D
 
I do, because it isn't the brain that teaches and you don't have to be smart to learn.

I've had some good teachers, but I am mostly self taught.
 
So what your saying is that even though someone may be physically brian dead they could be a good teacher? Or that someone with an IQ of 19 might have a good lesson to teach use in regards to interpreting intra-day bar charts or how to better get in touch with our real self? WOW I am blown away by that. So by following that line of reasoning. I would assume once someone has flat lined then they can offer us the highest level of knowledge possible. Kinda like homeopathic medicine, less is more. WHat a concept. :cool:
 
No, I didn't say someone's ability to teach themselves was either improved or impaired by their intellect. I said intellect was irrelevant.

It should be evident that people with high intellect are not generally more successful as traders than people like me, and I could consistently lose money at a poker table playing with a good player who is not as smart as I am.
 
I knew something was wrong as soon as I hit the post button. The above analogy was not good, because in both cases it implies the one with less intellect would have superior results.

I should have said, I can get beat at a table with a player who is not as smart as me, and there are traders who make more than I do, yet they are much smarter.
 
Xianokie, I'm impressed. You are familiar with much more of the psychobabble than most people I know that delve in that stuff. Hmmmm? Sounds like you're still searching for something. But you know,it REALLY is a zen kind of thing(for lack of a better label), and by that I mean the following: you never know where the important lessons are going to come from. It has nothing to do with IQ or experience or anything. It has to do with your being awake, observent, ready to "get it", and able to act on "it".
"Don't keep searching for the truth, just let go of your opinions."

Don't be overly impressed I do it with smoke and mirrors. But thanks for the hearty pat on the back. Its nice to feel appreciated and admired for intellectual prowess. I was not really sure why you were giving me a Hmmmmr in your post, since I am not much of a psychologist I wont even hazard a guess.

Not sure your much of a psychiatrist either so trying to anal-lyze me is a waste of time. I am not looking for anything at this time contrary to your misguided belief. Although I am often looking for my truck keys or other items I misplaced in my humble abode.

I was almost ready to to hurl again when you launched into your Eastern mysticism Zen Schmen crapoola. Please don't offer me any of your Eastern bull-hockey weedhopper.

But enough of that. Overall I liked what you said. You so far seem to be the wisest person posting. Other than me that is. I liked what you said about:

I especially like the part about acting on it. Your statement about it not having to do with "anything" Is silly. If it truly had nothing to do with "anything". Then it would not be dependent upon, being awake, observant, being ready and action. Your almost there just keep thinking more before you start typing. You are truly wise weedhopper. Not as wise as me but wise nonetheless. The unfortunate part is you had to launch back into more psychobabble with your next statement.

Being in the flow? I can think of some flows few of us would want to be in. Seeing what is? Come on. Words are supposed to mean something. What the heck does this mean? You might as well say "Klaatu barada nikto."

I am not searching for the truth. I already have the only truth there is.

As far as opinions go. When I need one from someone I usually just beat it out of them. Anyway Opinions are like a-holes everyone has one and they all stink. But then again thats just my opinion.

Your starting to learn. Just don't hit the post key so quick. Next time read what you write before posting it. And think about what your wanting to convey to others before, during and after the entire process. your gonna love this next step. Try and imagine your as intelligent as I am. Ask yourself. Self. Will this post make me look like an ass? And if it does do I care? If the answer to either is yes. Don't post it.

Xian, you didn't undferstand the concepts of "seeing what is". No surprise. That is the most important lesson one can learn in life and one of the most difficult. It should be obvious that survival in the market is dependent on it, unless your infinite wisdom sees the future ahead of everyone else. You think you are awake, you think you are wise, you think you are intelligent,....think, think,think. You are trapped in a box defined by your thoughts. Your only tool is a hammer and to you every problem looks like a nail. Tough way to go. Better get some more tools. Yeah, I know, you're gonna say how can I do anything without my precious thoughts, let alone be aware of what tools might be useful or how to use them and for what problems....blah, blah, ad absurdum.
