This was an idiot on steroids moment.

The prosecutor keeps working the defendant over and over on the issue of "why did you feel you needed to go out and get involved when there are fires and crimes. Isn't this something that - in this society- we usually depend on the police and fire for?"

Helloooooooo......Idiot....you are asking this in a town where substantial portions of it were burning to the ground and there were severe episodes of lawlessness in progress. Maybe the reason would be because they apparently are not able to or want to go out and take care of things.

After Rittenhouse is acquitted he needs to open his own home security company. We know his heart is in it. Yeh, instead of ADT, you could have a little Rittenhouse Security sticker on your window or sign on your lawn.
 
Rittenhouse should do exactly ZERO jail/prison time on all charges.

I know that some will pipe up and point out that they will still get him on possession of a firearm or some variation of that. The point is the same. ZERO jail time. The kid was a minor at the time and even if he were an adult his lack of prior history no jail time would be warranted and it would be a clear case of trying to persecute the kid for failure to get convictions elsewhere.

Having said all that, probably they can't get a conviction on the gun charge either or I would have to see the case shape up more. He did not falsify to purchase a gun, did not conceal a weapon without a permit. Someone else bought the gun and kept it mostly but he had access to it because he was a minor. A "crime" that most of us committed by the time we were ten if you live in hunting and shooting states and are not a soy boy.

If he pleads on a gun charge, that is fine too. He has gone through enough. Just sayin that the lefty justice system there is processing dozens of cases per day involving serious gun crimes and no one is going to jail if they are minor and have not been convicted of other crimes along with it.

Leave the kid alone. He defended himself against some cockroaches.

Kyle Rittenhouse should be acquitted and then, file lawsuit against the prosecutor and city for malicious prosecution. You can see the obvious bias a mile away. This kid should not have been charged at all.

The only guy who was shot by Rittenhouse and lived was carrying a concealed handgun which he confronted Rit with- but he did not have a valid concealed carry permit - expired does not count. And he may not have been eligible for a permit renewal due to various crimes he was convicted/plead to, including carrying a firearm while intoxicated. Bottom line: No concealed carry permit.

Has he been charged with a gun violation- if so, where we at with that?
