Pro's and con's of using a wifi connection to trade?

Agree but ease of installation? Maybe some experience trouble initially. Home I moved into 10 years ago was already wired for Comcast so I just plugged and played after get my own modem/router permissioned. Now community is switching over to Hotwire past month or so, I'll see how that goes.

That's just it, you need cables and to plug those cables and you also cannot move around freely with the device. It's more hassle than just click-click-connected.

How about wireless keyboard and mouse. No hassle with that.

Anyway I don't need to move around. To each their own.

Until the mouse batteries die right at the critical moment you need to click a few buttons on-screen to get in or out of that huge trade. But there's always the keyboard with you on your lap. Except you forgot what the hot keys were for the UI of your trading platform, so yer screwed anyways, lol!

I use wi-fi but everything else is wired. I dislike messing around with batteries.

Except if you have a 30 pack (with about 24 left) of Duracell Optimum AA's in your bottom desk drawer and use TradeStation hot keys for the past 20+ years - fat chance of forgetting.

Like I said. To each their own. I prefer wires on my modem/router not my mouse.

Can't hack mouse, last time I checked.

So question for these wired guys:

You guys never use wifi for anything, including Netflix and other sites? Because if you can be hacked via wifi, I am sure your system/router could be hacked while you are watching a movie then you are just as vulnerable when you use the wired stuff. Your approach is that no wifi system is fully secure. Am I wrong?

Logitech wireless mouse. 1 AA battery. Average used 10 hours per day. Last MONTHS. So no messing around with batteries.

Relatively speaking it's still "messing around". My mouse lasts 5 years without doing anything.
