Proposal for New Forum for Volatility Trading Instruments

The increasing popularity of trading VIX-related products, whether they are futures, options, or ETPs would seem to merit its own forum. It would be great if all these related threads were consolidated in one place.

However, I'm not sure how it would fit in with the current format which has forums split out by ETF's, Options, and Futures. Hmmmm.
 
I have recommended other possible forums, but I think that it is a special domain for the Options Traders who talk volatility.

I am an options trader myself, but have minimal understanding of these products. So, I don't think the topic can fly on it's own thread.
 
In this case, thread tagging would probably be a better solution. So if we implemented tagging, in this case you could tag various volatility VIX-related threads with "Volatility" or "VIX" regardless of the forum that the thread is in. Then you could search by clicking on the VIX tag to see other threads and posts tagged in the same manner.
 
OK, it's pretty obvious this idea has no traction. Over the last few days there has been more activity in the thread on trading Moon Cycles. Forget volatility, as if it had any relevance to trading o_O
