It looks like your problem might be that you do not have a good edge (or any edge at all for that matter...). I suspect that your "mentors" do not really want to divulge what their "true edge" is....and why should they? I have an edge that would make you crap your pants but I wouldn't dare divulge it to anyone. Edges do exist, especially in stock trading.

The point I'm making is that you need to do some actual research to find a reliable edge followed by testing and then simulated trading before putting real money on the line...otherwise you're simply wasting your time. Make no bones about it, the vast majority will fail at trading solely because they do not have an edge. You are obviously struggling and the reason is because you do not have an edge.

don't even try, monti1a....!

trading edge exists as an illusion and only in the mind of novice....

you are not a novice any more, so why not just leave the trading edge biz to the teaching guru with their novice followers....

however, if you were to present it another way.... equating trading experiences, faster setups, better and faster contraptions with trading edges.... that would be an entirely different story altogether, moni1a....

successful traders around here, hardly ever give credit of their longevity in trading profitably to.... what you called--trading edges.

however, you are welcomed to rebut trading edges further, if you like. pls kindly do not regard this as a personal attack of any kind, ok? and i won't expound any further either. thx monti1a and happy trading to you. cheers.

Sorry for the lack of updates the past two days. Not much to report and havent traded much. Volume was very light this week so kept things tight!

I didn't trade today as I am visiting California for the labor day weekend! Couldn't get lighspeed to work -__-.

How about that jobs number tho? Price action past couple days in US equities looked like it was setting up for some selling. Looking at the market today...doesn't look like alot of good trading...gap and range/chop!

Net PnL: -80
Shares Traded= 7,400

DRI: Shorted this after the initial pop off of the open and a short into the close.

ANR: Got caught on some longs initially, but tried again and caught an ok move. ANR as it was pulling back after the initial push. Got long near 32.5 and added as it broke.

SUN: Was getting long into the 39.2 level. Level broke and was stopped out. Thought this thing would hold up, but oh well what can you do.

JVA: Was long into the 19.7 level in the morning. The pullback failed and JVA chopped around the rest of the day.

Scratched in the other things I traded...Low volume grind up. In Hindsight looks like an easy trade, I was finding alot of stocks were just grinding unlike the broader market!

did not mean to question your ability to trade, hold trade or exit trade, ok?

just wonder.... if you did follow your trading plan....? normally,when we execute according to our trading plan each and every time, we usually would very much like to exclude human 'hope mode' from our well planned trading plan....
