Prop Industry Live Audio Chat

Quote from EdgeHunter:

Ok...

i think it is a little sad that "picking up free money" for the 20th century (for 100 years) was done by the hard work of learning to Read The Tape...

but now in the 21st century its paying for Arb info... and that is even if you can get it or and even then execute it...

Mav, something is wrong in MudVille...

poor Casey is scratching his head...

cj...

:(

Three of the greatest tape readers of the 20th century were Jesse Livermore, Paul Tudor Jones, and Steve Cohen.

Jesse killed himself, PTJ has pased the baton to others to trade his fund and Steve Cohen is now trading for information flow. Yes, the world has changed a little.

Of course on the plus side ma and pa kettle get free charts, $5 commissions on their trades and tight bid/ask spreads. Remember the old saying.....be careful what you wish for......

Gentleman & Ladies. Please believe us that there is a lot of unintentional (I hope) misinformation at times on the site. There is some confusion at times as well. Rather than plan your career based on what's going on here, please come visit the Firm(s) you're thinking of. Things change, we can't or won't give specific details over the phone (usually just basic "rough" numbers), so check in with us.

Don

lol good one don. yes there is a lot of confusion about rates and splits on this board at times but theres no confusion that your rates and fee's are some of the highest around.sure you might be better for a guy who needs massive 200-1 intraday leverage but for the guy doing 500k-1 mil vol that only needs up to 50-1 leverage he can get much better rates at other firms

Thanks Don and John, just downloaded the chat (thanks spinner) and enjoyed listening to it.

I will be interested in a next chat about strategies, as Don proposed for December. Looking forward to it!

Regards, t4s

cool. Besides the strategies topic already proposed, I have another suggestion.
The previous chat seemed to be quite question driven. At the end several topics have been discussed, after people have been asking during the chat.
How about doing like last time? Let people post some questions, and then we continue from there
Also, if strategies are going to be discussed, can we give a definition of the term "strategy"? I wouldn't like the chat to last a few days :)
