For the op, yes, I believe Echotrade clears through Merrill/BofA.

Thanks for heads up on Vtrader, good to know there's a CBOE firm in the Bay Area. And to answer your question, according to their site:

"Established in 2004, VTrader Pro is a SEC registered broker-dealer regulated by the CBOE. Our Group trades proprietary accounts through our clearing relationships with Bank of America Merrill Lynch Professional Clearing and Penson Financial Services."

try Greenmoor in Chicago. They clear ML Pro and can put you in touch with groups they deal with - may or may not be b/d's.

Their back office reporting of your account activity sucks and the shortable list of stocks is weak.
