Prop Firms Require the Series 63?

Apparently you need a series 63 to trade remotely with Bright in Boston. I thought non-NASD prop firms didn't require a series 63. What gives?

Don? Is this true?

Does Echo require a 63 to trade remote as well?

Thanks a lot..........

The series 63 isn't even a test. It's 4 hours of ethics training that's required to be performed every 2 years. I took it via a CBT
program and sent the disk in to get the certificate. No big deal.

NASD firms usually require
a Series 7, Series 63 and Series 55

Some of the exchange registered firms just require a 7.

This is a first for me hearing that a Bright trader needs one. ECHO usually didn't but it may in some areas which depends on local regulations. I'd check with the firm to be sure.

Lynx Capital is a NASD firm so all three are required

Is Lynx an actual member of the NASD or are they a member via Andover?

Thanks
