@Overnut can't trade for years lol.... the guy can't figure out what his trading style is.... one minute he can be a scalper to day trader....... another minute he'll end up to become a short-term trader to long-term investor....Hope for market to go back up isn't a strategy to trade and when bear market comes you'll be toasted.

My nick is not "Overnut", so the @ symbol would have done no good. And then putting me on ignore after that fact if you had gotten my nick correct, which is Overnight, would serve no purpose.

Respectfully, as always, here's my two or three cents.
Unless I missed it, I don't believe anyone asked you to prove anything. You created this thread on your own volition where you wanted to prove scalping is profitable. Yet, your proof is lacking. I think if you wanted to actually prove something, you should provide more transparent information and over a longer time period as 2 months is a very short sample size.
I don't have his actual metrics, but there was a guy here earlier this year who took around 30K to 100K in less than two months. Yet, he ended up losing most of it. There's traders who've had profitable years, yet end up losing greatly.
Finally, even if you provided proof, there would still be naysayers who'd still insist you just were lucky or photoshopped your broker statements. So in the end - what's the use?
You already said yourself how hard it is to succeed in day trading and how much effort you put in. I have the same opinion. That's why I think people shouldn't be encouraged to pursue this path anyway. Those who are hungry and ambitious enough to give it a go will pursue this fueled by their own determination only. I would never encourage anyone to pursue day trading because I know what it costs and I know they will most likely not make it.
And we already know that it's possible to succeed in trading.

I didn’t even ask you prove anything, I just asked a number, you were the one who is trying to prove scalping is profitable, which I agree without needing you to prove because myself is a profitable scalper. You were mad because you had difficulty of providing the evidence of profitability when someone else asked you, which is actually your point of making this thread. So, what the fuck are you to make such a post?
success is for the few ....in any field.
day trading is difficult.......i have been a daytrader for 13 years and a golfer for 25.....
and both are vey similar as far as success goes: 10% [only?] of golfers are single figure handicaps.
novice traders have totally wrong ideas and expectations about day trading.......
.i found Al Brooks was one of the few who sets this right.....it worked for me.
however i did not try to trade like him...i did develop my own style: i could do this because i went to great lengths to try and understand the principle behind his method.
i got into day trading because i needed money for expenses on daily basis.
Paul Rotter has already proved scalping was more than just profitable: he made multiple millions a year for over a decade.
he must have made his broker rich too because his volume was over 100000 lots a day
