I agree money matters. I've worked for an expensive IT consultancy who were brought in where the businesses own IT guys were out of their depth and this was often down to interpersonal dysfunction (Bernie telling Warren a woman couldn't win 2020) and my job was as much meeting psychotherapist as problem solver and woods-for-the-trees-chopper-downer.

Maybe these far left groups need expensive outsiders there for limited engagements to move things along and pull things back from the blame game.. But people at this level are not cheap. Banks headhunt socially competent quantum physicists to help them with their sinister objectives. It's a good way for these guys to make money for a few years if they are starting a family and such.

Who I wonder is a good skillset to make the Progs work?

Closest thing that comes to mind is Soros w/his anti-fascism activities in Europe. Progs and billions doesn't really go together as they believe they shouldn't exist in the first place. There's a few billionaires that believe the tax code needs to be redone (Gates, Buffet), but they don't really put their money where their mouth is in getting that done. I suppose the closest they come to is backing dem candidates.

I don't know if you are familiar with the new Foundation series based on the books. It's largely made in Ireland by Apple studios and I have friends on the production.

My worry is not Trump but as many have said the coming competent Trump that he has softened institutions up for.

There is another character 'the Mule' (aka the Clown) who is going to be core to the third season. An incredibly powerful psychic with the ability to influence minds on a large scale who is a huge threat to the Foundation. He is an entity that has never existed before and so couldn't be accounted for in the grand plan.

Azimov'a galactic scale Foundation was based on far flung Ireland becoming a storehouse for invaluable books knowledge during the dark/middle ages and helped Europe recover faster from the period of collapse. True to a degree anyway.

My worry is "the Mule" is conservatives with AI getting way ahead. Bannon has already demonstrated via Brexit (Cambridge Analytics), then Trump winning how they were able to up-end reality. I can't see Dems/Progs countering this asymmetric advantage of well-wielded advanced computer science soon enough. But that's just me.

Tony is very good with polls, vastly beyond me but as we have both said, it's crisis after crisis coming and the actual votes are truer. Right now the special election 'overperformance' is showing most Amercians are still sane just... I'd like to attribute it to temporary stupidity but I see malice getting an upper hand.

Shapiro's on his way to Murdoch-esque empire while Pakman's seen moderate success. Same deal w/Crowder, Sam Seder giving much larger now (I abandoned the left griter) Tim Pool his start, same with TYT platforming Dave Rubin & Jimmy Dore (abandoning left grift) successes.

Problem with Pakman,TYT,Kyle etc is they spend 95% of their time criticizing Biden/ conservative democrats than tell you you still have to vote for them because the republican is worse.Anna said we would still need to support Senima in 2024(This was before Gallego entered the race to be fair).No wonder they cant keep a faithful audience or grow to the levels of the scumbags on the right.I stopped watching all of them.
