If there is any group which knows about obsessively pursuing something it would be the left. If it ends in an ism, they're on it. The depth of their obsession appears to be without a bottom. The deeper the go, the crazier they get.Apparently it is now Far Right to want to be physically fit. I guess it is also Far Left to want to be obese and sick.

When it comes to obsession only the most fanatical religious cults can give the left a run for the money and even they run a distant second more often than not. The political left is the equivalent of the Westboro Baptist types. They aren't drinking the koolaid, they mainline it daily, turn it into a rock if they can to smoke it, powder to snort it, walk around with an IV drip of the juice looking for that self righteous high of pure virtue.
