how about posting some results? Maybe even backtested figures. Better yet.How about collective 2? Otherwise. As this thread proves. Traders would be the dame or better off just guessing with tight risk control. This method is garbage like the woodie and other similar old man salesman types
I will respectfully answer your post even though you will not return the comments in kind.
Posting results can be manufactured, not that they will but it is useless making the attempt.
Backtesting is worthless for what I do . . . forward testing is more accurate but 95% of traders don't have the patience to devote the time necessary to validate this process. (Understanding this concept takes a familiarity with Constant or Capped Volume/Share bar charting that again most traders ignore or dismiss due to its seeming complexity)
The thread proves nothing other than it takes patience, practice and focus to accomplish consistency in ANY method or system. No one it trying to set this system AHEAD of any other method. That is simply left to the individual attempting mastering it to make that determination ON THEIR OWN.
This is a simple method but definately NOT easy. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a Tradestation programmer this morning and he told me that what I do is by far the most objective method he has ever seen in his 25 years of programming and trading. He also said, in clarifying that it was the most COMPLEX as it related to Tradestation and other charting packages because of the convoluted, subjective and discretionary way almost all charting packages are structured.
This method is in no way even close to what Woodie does or for that matter what anyone else does. Anyone with 5 minutes of free time could compare the methods and tell that. The complexity comes from what you are familiar with and what you are unfamiliar with.
It's us "Old Men" that have acquired the patience to figure out the consistencies of price action. It's the puppies that don't have the patience to varify that for themselves.
Oh, lastly . . . everything in this thread is free. If you find value in it, use it in good health. If you don't find value in it, go somewhere else. No one is making you eat at a restaurant that serves food you do not like and then makes you pay for it.
I'll respond to the other posts later but I must run out to the store for a bit.
