Trade areas for today.
Green lines show profit range.

I thought that the ERG oscillator had to be > [10] to initiate a trade. Are those trades aggressive entries ?

They were all conservative entries.

I think you may be confused. Prof only posted his entries on the Trading chart (2401V). The actual entries however are taken off the faster chart (i.e. 343V).

It's on the entry chart that the ERG needs to oscillate in prime (which they did) before seeking out a confirmation of PF for entry.

Ok, I see. Thx !

Hi Bill

Thanks for your time and effort in contributing to this thread. It's great that we all have the opportunity to from your input on ET.

Looking at your charts from Friday raised some questions in my mind about the practical application of the 2nd choice entry rules. The Intraday Rules set out on p2 of this thread are clear; it's clarification for the 2nd choice entry rules which I'm hoping you can provide.

Background:
Your response to one poster below introduced what appeared to be more specific conditions (compared with the Intraday Rules) for entry. i.e. Trading chart Histogram to oscillate before looking for a Entry chart ERG oscillation

Quote from ProfLogic:

What part of this sequence is so hard to understand?

IF - ..............

2. AND THEN - The Histogram on your trading chart (2401) Oscillates (changes color) in Prime toward the Prime Trading Breach Oscillation on the Trading Decision Chart (for the strongest trade) or at least positive to the zero line for a strong trade.

3. AND THEN - The ERG on your Entry chart (343) Oscillates (changing color) toward the Prime Trading Breach Oscillation on the Trading Decision Chart .
Then in the following post you clarified that there are actually two choices w.r.t entry - with a preference for the first set.
Quote from ProfLogic:

Entry can be based on two choices . . .

1st Choice - Enter on ERG oscillation and PF sequence on your Entry Chart in Prime immediately as the Histogram on the Trading Decision Chart enter into Prime.

2nd Choice - Enter on PF sequence on your Entry Chart in Prime immediately after the Histogram on the Trading Decision Chart oscillates in Prime.

I tell traders that when they are just beginning to take the 2nd choice trades because they contain less risk but as they become more comforatable with reading price and as they build their confidence to move to the other one.

Buy the way . . . nice clean chart!!
My confusion is in trying to reconcile the 1st choice entry rules with the 2nd. For example, on Friday the 1st choice entry rules provided you with the trades you posted, however from what i could discern the 2nd choice entry rules would have resulted in no trades taken (i.e. Trading Histogram oscillation followed by Entry ERG oscillation in prime) in a timely manner.

Could you please help clarify/correct?

Thanks again.

The ERG doesn't have to be in Prime the Histogram should be. the last entry the Histogram wasn't, that is a Near Perfect set-up.
