ProfLogic's Method

So, the rules have been mentioned several times in the last few pages, and I need to better understand what they actually state. I find these type of discussions quite laborious, so apologies up front. Also, I'm hoping 'anyone' with a good basic grasp of these concepts will lend a hand, as I really don't care to burden Prof with stuff he has probably answered numerous times elsewhere. I will just start at the top, and go line by line w/ questions. For discussion's sake, consider 'current' price action to be in an UPTREND.

(In trading decision chart): for intraday trading, I take this to mean the 2401?

1. Prime Trading PPF trade through to Prime Trading Breach. : is this saying that price has made first a HH, pulls back, then a LH, pulls back again and finally another push to a Breach (which will be a HH 1-7 ticks beyond the first mentioned HH) ?

2. Verify Histogram is in Prime but not yet oscillating. : so Histogram value is equal or greater than 10, but slope is still positive and it has yet to break over ?

(In Strength Chart): the 16807 chart ?

3. Confirm Histogram is in Same Direction on Strength Chart, next slowest chart. (This is for see the overall strength): histogram slope is up - does it matter in what relation to the zero line (above/below) ?

(In Entry Chart): 343 chart ?

4. ERG Oscillation in Prime.: erg line is 10 or above - has the slope of the line switched from pos to neg, and have we seen a color change yet ?

5. Look for PF Bar or Bars: OK

6. Look for Confirmed Price Failure Bar.: what constitutes this CPFB ?

7. Enter at the open of the Execution Bar (this is the bar immediately following the Confirmation Bar). : OK

To be continued - and as usual, thanks ...

Ask individuals questions and go slowly so you won't overload. Please be patient too because I trade during the day and try to trade and answer these questions as well.

I found a severe programming mistake in my code of the histogram. I have fixed it and now the chart looks like this. Pretty close to Prof's chart. Cleaning the code and comments now.

Good job, Whisky. I had hoped the Tradestation code would help me figure out those differences, but as you know it's quite different itself.

Hi Whisky,

I understand your reluctance to share the code after all hard work you did, but at the same time, there are people who just do not know how to program at all and can not being anything to thew table from programming point of view.

If your code had some specific edge, then I would be the last person to say anything about sharing.

It is certainly not my place to tell anyone what to do with their efforts regarding Proflogics methodology. However, I have been the beneficiary of his selflessness in sharing over 11 years of hard work. Bill has continued to share with many others and the only thing they needed to do was ask. He neither asked for nor expected anything in return for this largesse.
It might be nice to continue the example Bill has set for us. I already have the codes etc. (thanks to Bill, again) so I have nothing to gain from this suggestion. However, I feel it would be in keeping with the example he has shown us.

Well, let's see what karma does for me. I'm pretty sure some people reading here don't deserve anything, but here it goes for the benefit of the few that might do some good with it. This is the latest, cleanest version with comments.

Think positive JW.
This is Ninja correct?

Couple this morning. On the 1680 long around 809 just before 10:00am. If you could ride out that big retrace it is still doing well. Tough one tho, good gain then back to even, esp with the longer term being negative the whole time.

On the 2401 a long around 810-811 just before 11 o'clock. Longer term was with it.

Working on looking at all the various times frames to look for opportunities. Lots of jumping around.

823543 - Still Short from the OPEN on the 9th. STOP 844.75
117649 - Consolidation, no trade
16807 - Creating Short potential PPF/799.50 Breach trade
2401 - Creating Long potential PPF/825.00 Breach trade

Your 16807 long trade off the 799.50 was aggressive due to it being a Breach toward a Breach but nice use of the 117649 to show you price was still going up.

The 16807 (I assume you mean?) - that was after a PPFLH and a BreachLL, which I think makes it a very nonstandard trade in Bill's system - but congrats on both!

Karma is something people have to live with internally - it's the world each inhabits.

But sure, lots will just take and not contribute anything, but as stated above, it does give others a chance to contribute.

Thanks.
