Please don't put me in the camp with all the young earth creationists if that is what you are referring to. I disagree with them just as strongly as you do.

Listen, moron, if it took you years to learn things others say it took them days, the problem may not be with them. Just as I was beginning to give some respect to the things you posted (certainly not in this thread), you come up with stuff like this. Yes, I was being honest. That is why I said to me it seemed to be a miracle. I would be happy to share my method of learning English with any nonnative speaker who would like to learn it fast. I know firsthand that it works very well. The things I was translating after just three months of studying were quite serious. Sparks International was hired by our gov't to assist our "collective farms" in the privatization process and I was assigned as interpreter for one of the consultants. ...and on occasions when we had a party and the main interpretor (much much more experienced pro) got drunk, I had to translate the whole thing. I can probably look up the name of the guy I was assigned to, he lives in Memphis. Just so you know I am telling the truth. Socialism (you keep using communism and socialism interchangeably) did work too.
And as for the system, give me a sec. I'll attach a profit histogram for you...
It's not exactly 98% accurate now that it has been updated with some more data, but it's pretty close there.
Also, I don't use 3d charts, I don't use ANY charts for my method. But if I had to use any, I would have used 3dimensional plots and no I'm not gonna tell you what I would have added on the third axis.
Don't assume others are full of it just b/c you are.

I read a book a while back that theorized that the universe merely expands and contracts much like a ball being filled with air and conversely having the air sucked back out once it has reached its maximum.

This would suggest that just before the Big Bang the universe was completing its massive contraction (much like its massive expansion which is occurring now).

I certainly can't discuss intricacies with you guys, but I did find it interesting.

Idiot. I'd say just the opposite. Drive through this country and look at the number of churches here. I studied at too universities here and both had about 20 churches on campus. (I think there might have been too acting ones in the city of 300,000 where I studies in Ukraine...)
I happen to believe that this countries economic success is at least partly attributable to it's higher degree of religious faith. And it's the rest of the world that has to catch up.
So glad to see we disagree again. I was beginning to get worried that we agreed on some things with you. That IS scary...

The problem with the Oscillating Universe Theory is that the universe is the most entropic system known. It is equivalent of throwing up a ball and having it land on a table and flattening to a molecule width. All oscillating universe theories have been completely discredited and I don't believe there is any credible cosmologist that adheres to one of them.

This was, by the way, a huge blow to certain ancient Hindu writings which claimed that the universe reincarnated, or oscillated, every 4 billion years. With the influx of Eastern religions into our universities in the 60's and 70's, many hoped that a reincarnating universe would be proven. But, again, not only will the universe not bounce, it will not bounce even once.

You're right: I should have been more careful in my wording. A little over exhuberance I'm afraid....
 
I agree grumpy...I mean daniel ( a great Biblical name) that there is only one truth. I did not say there wasn't. I did say that I believe that other people feel just as strongly about what they know to be true as I do. There is a big difference between what I said and what you are saying I said.

Also, I did not make up the term "a priori". There are some things one knows "a priori." That was the Word of God for me. I heard it, my heart told me it was true, and that was that. I cannot explain that any other way. And I have never been even remotely convinced that it isn't true.

One of many things I do not understand though, is the harshness with which non-believers go about making their point. Why am I a "pompous fool" for sharing my experience, but you are well within your 'humble way' of sharing yours? Have I attacked anyone's beliefs here? Yeah I could come out and rip others too, there is no great gift in that.

If truth were so easily discerned, daniel, we wouldn't need courts to help us decide the truth. A natural gas company exercises its right of easement on your property and buries a new line, but to do so it must dig up your champion roses that you have had planted there for 10 years. To you, you have been damaged. That is your truth. You sue. The truth to the gas company is that you have not been damaged. The court finds for the gas company. Do you now feel that you have not been damaged because "something is either true for all....?"

What is true, and what people believe is true are many times two different things. How about the close call on the football field. The pass interference call for example. Both coaches see a different truth. The camera replay cannot even show it as obvious. But a referee says one way or the other is the truth. Is it? Do the players and coaches believe that?

If those truths are not substantial enough how about these? The truth was the earth was flat. Heretics believed otherwise. The truth was the sun revolved around the earth. I guess not.

Unfortunately you clearly misunderstood my point. And you hacked off an important part of my post. I heard the Word, knew (a priori) it was true, end of story for me. That is the end of the story...for me. I didn't question it for its validity. My heart knew it was true for me.
