if it was up to me we would have a single payer (you, me and the government) and a 10% deductable. So if you make 70k/yr, the first 7k of medical would be out of your pocket, and if it goes over that in any given year, we the people will pay the rest.

non profit healthcare sounds great unless you are a doctor or drug manufacturer. And you are going to need doctors and drug companies to run your non profit health system. Typical Karl Marx. You know what to do with it after somebody has already built it. But you don't know how to build it.
 
I think about it a lot, because healthcare is the one place where both capitalists and socialists agree. Neither of us want to see anybody denied care (I almost typed in "coverage" because I am so brainwashed.)
 
big difference between health care and health coverage. What Obama tried to give us was "health coverage." Typical for a Harvard educated community organizer who thinks money is just something other people have. So the first thing he did was make a covenant with the people who have money (because he needs that money to give away.) And the people who have money are the insurance companies. They are the brokers and the casinos of health "coverage."

Do I really want to replace private insurance companies who charge to lay risk with the inefficient corrupt government? Well, not when it comes to normal things where if you don't have the money you can't afford it. But we have already decided healthcare is not a normal expense.
 
How the scam works:

1. They tell us that voting for the TPA isn't voting for the bill, it's just a vote to let them make a treaty.

2. After the treaty is created, they'll tell us that they have to vote for the TPP, because there's no mechanism to change it. If we don't take this, we'll get nothing! ( almost screaming as they say it)



It's like the Sting. They're just figuring out who's going to play the various roles in the plan to fleece the marks.
