amateurs don't have time to 'focus' if they work 50 hours a week that is not trading or investment related.
focus on what,,that is what professionals are paid to do,,to do the work.

'professionals are paid to trade or invest for other people'. that is the distinction.

trading and investing other people's money is how 'pros' make money
 
Nonsense. You can have any public websites you like as long as you don't give the impression that you are a professional trader but then claim with a broker that you are retail regarding market data subscriptions.

Or, as I believe the regulation goes if memory serves me correctly?

Hold yourself out to the public as a Professional Trader.

If memory serves there about six precedents as to what that phrase means.

For instance, you cannot have a website that is open to the public.

You cannot be offering as interest in a company Securities that would have to be registered with the SEC

Etc., etc ...
