Problems shorting through IB?

Has anyone experienced problems today borrowing stock using IB? Usually I don't have many problems but today nearly every short I tried was refused due to there not being enough shares available to short. On of the most annoying things was my stop limits weren't being triggered as a stock broke down and I wasn't sure why. It would be nice to be told when the stop limit is placed that the stock isn't available to short.

You can add a field to the layout that shows whether a stock is shortable or not.

Today everything I was watching was shortable except for HOV. LEH was limited shortable I believe.
 
Thanks Skellington I was unaware that I could have that in the layout. Only been using IB for about 5 years:confused:

HOV was one of the stocks I tried to short. I also tried to short USNA which I see should have been available but was told it wasn't at the time.
