Problem with laptop after adding new battery

I removed the new one, and left the original RAM in place.

There is a possibility that, if both sticks of RAM are not identical, your computer runs into issues. This might happen if the timing parameters of both sticks are not identical. This is why it is often advised to not add one stick to an existing one, but install two identical sticks (same brand, same type).

I took it to Best Buy and they ran a diagnostics test and checked for malware.
They replaced the RAM I had removed and said it was not the problem.

Final Conclusion.....they said there was a problem with the touchpad and they think I may have tightened the screws down too much and bowed the housing and the touchpad.

After they checked it out and reassembled it.....properly......no more problems.
