I can't believe I missed it. What an over hyped event. :)

I guess it was a sell the news type of thing. Should have sold the 3 million straddle.

How about partnering with a few appropriate ET sponsors or other vendors, to arrange free-use or free-trial periods of their services. Fee-based information, data, or trading services such as a Briefing.com or Collective2 would be good. E.T. winners here could be selected via some kind of simple contest. (Guess the precise level of the VIX on May 1.)

Good cross-promotional opportunities, and you'll be providing something that could be useful to your members other than T-shirts.
