primary exchanges of shares

Hi.

Yesterday I tried to execute a MOC order on NVS (Novartis). But it wasn't filled although I sent it early enough (20min before close) to NYSE.
Why ?

Where do I find the primary exchange of shares and do all shares listed at NYSE also have a MOC-price ?

Hi pri,

While there are many variables involved in this, (such as are you using a direct access system, how does your broker deal with your orders, your submission at 3:40:00pm EDT might have just missed the cutoff, etc.), the following two statements will apply: An MOC to sell short isn't guaranteed an execution. A buy or a sell is.
