I really dont think Jacks method is that complicated, it is Jack that is complicated.:)

. . . and how hard is that to figure out?

Well stated Bearbelly.

Jacks not complicated...Jack understands the Western mind...We seek the miraculous,so Jack opts to speak in a manner which takes simple concepts and makes them appear to be some Zen koan....

I guarantee you this all goe back to his early experience with women..If you live in NYC and are single, you will know exactly what i am talking about

Give the guy credit...

Quote from taowave:

In the words of the Professor Chen men Cheng(tai Chi) when asked why his students didnt acheive the level of proficiency he did ,the answer was quite simple..

"They needed to believe".....

In trading,as in any "soft" martial art that deals with "internal" power, there will be a mystical element that if one doesnt believe exists, one will neve see...

I agree. So what is keeping you from looking?
It takes time to get through Jack's posts but the foundation they are created on isn't complicated.

I would say that an individual traders ability to learn anything is based on their focus and determination. The more complicated things seem, the less interested they are. Being lazy is a trait possessed by quite a few individuals that are trying their hand at trading. They want the "answers" handed to them on a silver platter, a silver book or a silver tongued salesman. They do not want to put forth the effort at learning what it takes to be successful.

Some individuals do . . . and their reward is greater success.

I do look, but I dont fully believe, and that is where it ends for me.

You bring up a very interesting point on human nature....One of my teachers is a world renown Tai Chi instructor, who has chosen to demystify Tai Chi and emphasize body mechanics and other laws of physics. Its not thtat he diesnt believ in "chi" and internal power, but he has never experienced it....

With that said, his Tai Chi is one of the few styles that have a martial application, and he himself is very formidable..When asked by many many students,"What is the secret",he responds,"Do the form over and over, break it down and do hundreds and hundreds of repitions. No mateer how many times he gives that answer, the next question is,"But what is the secret??"

So I dont know if people are inherently lazy, but they certainly seek the miraculous..I think you know that there are no secrets, and there are no shortcuts if you want to excel at any endeavor, but for some odd reason people cant fathom that concept when it comes to trading

Quote from taowave:

...Jack...You are the mad poet of trading, and there is a certain appeal to it,as evidenced by your cult like following....
you meant there are cult like detractors?

Quote from Tums:

Tums, lets face it..he has cult like detractors and a very very "loyal" following.....

It is interesting how he manages to turn what i assume to be realtively sane human beings into "cult like detractors"...

just because some people are simple minded (maybe naive is the appropriate word?) does not make Jack complicated.

Easy there. I did not mean that as an insult.
